- In CatalogueLINK Download go to Setup – Automation Settings. 'Automation Options' is where you configure what and when imports and uploads of data will occur automatically.
- Check the 'Automate' checkbox checkbox beside each data type you wish to automate the import and upload of.
- Check the 'Day of the week' checkboxes checkboxes for each day that you wish the schedule automation to run. Factor in restarts or shutdowns of any servers or workstations.
- Select a the frequency of when imports and uploads will occur in from the 'Frequency (Hours)', 'Start Time' and ' and End Time' dropdowns dropdowns.
- Click 'OK'.
Next we need to set up a Scheduled Task to run the settings in 'Automation Options' on a schedule. The following instructions are specific to Windows 7 but all modern versions of Windows can enable Scheduled Tasks.
- Go to 'Control Panel' - 'Administrative Tools'Tools before selecting 'Task Scheduler'.
- Select 'Create Task' from from the 'Actions' pane pane.
- Select the 'General' tab tab.
- Enter a name for the task.

- Select Run only when user is logged on'. The current logged in user must be logged in for Automation to run. If you do not select this option, automation will not run.

- Select the 'Actions' tab and then 'New'.
- Set 'Action' to 'Start a program'.
- Browse for UploadAuto.exe in the CatalogueLINK directory.

Troubleshooting
- If automation for either CatalogueLINK application is not running, check that the Scheduled Task is enabled.
- Open the *_AUTO_PROCESSLOG.txt files in CatalogueLINK's log directory and review the bottom of the file to see what CatalogueLINK is reporting.
- If you see "Automation could not run because CatalogueLINK (GUI mode) was already running" it is because CatalogueLINK is already open and must be closed.
