Field Mappings

CloudLINK’s primary function is to seamlessly connect to your accounting system and import product data from it before publishing it to your website.

For CloudLINK to do this, the accounting system product data needs to be "mapped" to fields on the website.

 

The ‘Field Mappings’ can be modified under the CloudLINK drop-down menu in the Content Management System (CMS).

CloudLINK Field Name: The website field that data from the accounting system will be matched against.

Use Field: If checked, will enable a link from the website to the accounting system for the specified field. Generally, keep this checked and refer to the ‘Accounting System Field Name’ dropdown.

Accounting System Field Name: This is the field in your accounting system where CloudLINK will retrieve data from. If this is set to ‘Enter My Own’, the field will not be linked to your accounting system.

Always Update: If checked, CloudLINK will import this data into the CMS upon each import. This means that the data will be consistently updated. Any data that is manually entered into this field will be overwritten by data from your accounting system.

Use For Rules: If checked, this field will appear in the ‘columns’ drop down in the Product List (Staging) interface. This means you can use that field to create conversion rules or to filter your searches.
