Add or Update a News or Blog Article

News or Blog Articles allow you to add articles which will appear in a consistent format on your website. 

Blog:

Articles created in the blog are full features and allow you to group articles into categories and allow customers to comment on your articles via our Disqus integration. Example: http://standarddesign.straightsell.com.au/blog.php?resetbrand=1

Add a Blog Article:

  • Click Add Blog Entry

  • Fill in a Title and a URL for the article

  • Set Thumbnail which will be shown with the Summary *

  • Enter the Author of the article

    • Select the Status of the article from either Edit Mode (not published) or Live (published)

  • Set a New Category or select an existing one in Existing Categories

  • * Images

    • Public Demonstration Website Uses (View Page)

      • 650px Width 400px Height

    • Image Acceptability Criteria:

      • Minimum Width: 650px (fixed)

      • Minimum Height: 400px (fixed)

Note: if you set an article to Live with a future date the article will publish on that date

Edit a Blog Article

  • Click View next to the article.

  • Edit the blog article as desired.

  • Click Save.

Delete a Blog Article

  • Click Delete next to the article.

  • Confirm the delete.

News:

Articles created in the news are more streamlined than those for Blog. This section will indicate the content needed to create articles. Example: http://standarddesign.straightsell.com.au/news.php?resetbrand=1

Add a News Article:

  • Click Add News and enter a Title and write your article in the space provided

  • Set Image Path and Thumbnail values if desired *

    • Select a Date

  • * Images

    • Public Demonstration Website Uses (View Page)

      • Thumbnail: 189px Width 189px Height

      • Main: Displays actual size, max 848px


    • Image Acceptability Criteria:

      • Thumbnail: 189px Width 189px Height

      • Main: Will displays actual size to maximum 848px

  • Click Save.

Edit a News Article

  • Click View next to the article to edit it.

  • Change the information as desired.

  • Click Save.

Delete a News Article

  • Click Delete next to the article.

  • Confirm the delete.
