You can edit some of your websites content directly by clicking on the Edit Website button. This will bring up the Edit version of the website, which lets you modify content with a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor. Please ensure you are using the latest version of the Firefox Web Browser for full functionality.

Using Edit Website

  • Click Edit Website in the Straightsell CMS

  • Make your changes using the WYSIWYG editor.
  • Select Save & Close with Publish Page checked if you want the change to appear on the website immediately.
  • Uncheck Publish Page and click Save & Close if you want someone else to approve the changes by viewing them in Edit Website.

You may wish to add a Hyperlink to some text to link elsewhere on the website, or to another website entirely.

  • Enter some text you wish the link to display, select it and click the Insert/Edit Link button
  • Enter the link into the URL field, or click Browse Server if you wish to link to a page on your website.
  • Click Target and select New Window (_blank) so the link will open in a new tab
  • Once you are completed, click OK.
  • Click Save & Close with Publish Page checked.

Insert a Link to a Document

You may wish to create a link to a document you have uploaded into Documents & Images. These instructions assume you have already uploaded your file into /documents.

  • Go into Documents & Image in the Straightsell CMS
  • Locate your document and click View.
  • Copy the full URL to the file from the address bar
  • Go to Edit Text where you want to add the link.
  • Enter the text you wish to display for the link and then select the text.
  • Select Insert/Edit Link and paste the URL you copied from the address bar.
  • Click Target and select New Window (_blank) so the link will open in a new tab.
  • Click OK.

Insert an Image

  • Select where you would like the image to appear and click the Insert/Edit Image button.
  • Click Browse Server and select the folder where the image is located.
  • Once you find your image, click Select.
  • Your image will be placed into the document. If you wish to change the size or alignment of the image, right click the image and select Image Properties
  • Click Save & Close with PublishPage checked.
