Edit Your Website
You can edit some of your websites content directly by clicking on the Edit Website button in the CMS.
This will bring up the Edit version of the website, which lets you modify content with a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor.
Please ensure you are using the latest version of either Chrome or Firefox to ensure the best experience.
Using Edit Website
- The Edit Website found on the bottom left of the screen is an icon telling you that you are on the "Edit Website" panel. It is not a button.
- In Page Examples and then Standard Page. You are brought to a page that is editable using a WYSIWYG editor.
- Click Edit on the Standard Page section.
- Make your changes using the WYSIWYG editor.
- If you prefer to make your changes in the source code you can select View > Source Code to bring up the HTML view.
- Select Save & Close with Publish Page checked if you want the change to appear on the website immediately.
- Uncheck Publish Page and click Save & Close if you want someone else to approve the changes by viewing them in Edit Website
Note: Clicking Save will leave the WYSIWYG window open regardless of whether the changes are published
Insert a Link
You may wish to add a Hyperlink to some text to link elsewhere on the website, or to another website entirely.
- Enter some text you wish the link to display, select it and click Insert > Link
- URL: enter an external link or select an internal link from the folder icon
- Internal Web Page - select a page from the Web Pages folder
- Internal File - select the file from the folder the file was uploaded to
- Text to display: the text that will be used as the link (this will be pre filled if it was pre selected)
- Title: enter the hover over text to display
- Rel: defines how a particular link or element on your webpage relates to other elements
- None: indicates to search engine to follow/ignore the link (recommended for external links)
- No Follow: indicate to search engine to not follow/ignore the link
- Target: where the link will open
- None: the link will open in the same window
- New Window: the link will open in a different window
Insert an Image
You can use the WYSIWYG to insert images into edit regions.
- Navigate to the area you want to insert the image and select Insert > Image
- Upload Tab: allows you to upload images directly to the WYSIWYG
- Browse to the image on your computer or drag and drop the image onto the WYSIWYG
- Images uploaded in this fashion will be placed in the /documents/ folder
- General Tab: allows you to select an image that has already been uploaded to the CMS
- Source: browse to the folder where your image was uploaded and select it
- Image description: define the hover over text for the image
- Image title: give the image a title
- Dimensions: set the dimensions for the image or leave blank to use the original image dimensions
- Constrain proportions: this should be checked OFF to ensure the image remains responsive to the browser window size
- Class (img-fluid img-responsive): images are designed to adjust their size and resolution based on the size of the device or screen they are being viewed on
Insert a Table
You may wish to add a Hyperlink to some text to link elsewhere on the website, or to another website entirely.
- Navigate to the area you want to insert the table and select Insert > Table and define the table dimensions
- Enter the table content as you see fit
Insert a Video
You may wish to add a Hyperlink to some text to link elsewhere on the website, or to another website entirely.
- Navigate to the area you want to insert the video and select Insert > Media and select Embed
- Paste the YouTube embed code into the space provided
