PayPal Smart Payment Button

Overview:

PayPal Checkout with Smart Payment Buttons gives your buyers a simplified and secure checkout experience. PayPal intelligently presents the most relevant payment types to your shoppers, automatically, making it easier for them to complete their purchase using methods like Pay with Venmo, PayPal Credit, credit card payments, iDEAL, Bancontact, Sofort, and other payment types.

Setup:

In order to configure PayPal Smart Payment Buttons we need you to create a “Straightsell” App in your PayPal account and provide us the Client ID and Secret for this new App.

To do this follow these steps:

1. Go to https://developer.paypal.com/developer/applications and select “Login to Dashboard” at top right to Login,

2. On the “My apps & credentials” page, toggle to “Live”, then select “Create app”.

3. Add an App Name called “Straightsell”, and select the “Create App” button.
   
   

    

4. Select “Show” Secret, then select and copy the “Client ID” and “Secret” into an email and send it in to your Straightsell Project Manager.
   
   

    

5. Log out of PayPal by choosing your name drop-down at top right.
