Setting up Groups and Specials

This document covers how to set up pricing where you don't have an accounting system connected to your Straightsell website via CatalogueLINK.

If you do have CatalogueLINK, please make all price changes in the accounting system.

  • Use Manage Groups to link your Buyers and Specials together – Create a group and add your buyers, then add your specials to that Group.
  • Special Start and End dates do not affect specials. You must control the special by adding or removing it from relevant groups.
  • If multiple specials are assigned to a Customer, the Customer will get the lowest applicable price on each product.
  • Always test your specials!

Adding Groups

  • In the Straightsell Control Panel, select Ecommerce – Manage Groups then click Add New Group
  • Add a descriptive name and description for your group and click Save

  • To add a Buyer to the group, use the Search function to find your Buyers before clicking Add in the Actions column

Adding Specials

Next we need to create a special.

  • In the Straightsell Control Panel, select Ecommerce – Pricing & Specials
  • Give the Special a descriptive name and then choose the type of Special.

Note: When you click Save, you will be presented with more options to configure the special.
