Creating Data Conversion Rules
Creating Data Conversion Rules
IMPORTANT: Do not attempt to create data conversion rules unless you are 100% sure of what you are doing otherwise it may adversely affect your catalogue
If you want to filter out certain products or change an attribute of a group of products, this can be achieved by creating a data conversion rule.
To create a rule open CatalogueLINK Upload:
- Set the search parameters to filter for the products you want changed and then click Go
- In the example below the parameters are set to Category Level 1 is equal to 19
- Once you have filtered for the products you want, click Apply Data OR Ignore
- Apply Data will allow you to bulk change an attribute of the items you have filtered for
- Ignore will allow you to prevent items from being uploaded to the active catalogue
- In the example below Apply Data is used to set the Category Level 1 to All Products if the Category Level 1 is currently 19
- This will affect all items with that categorisation in CatalogueLINK and all future items imported from your accounting system
Note: Make sure that All items displayed and Add to data conversion rules options are selected
- To delete an existing rule go to Edit > Data Conversion Rules
- Select the rule and click Delete
- Existing rules cannot be modified and an import from the accounting system is required after deleting a rule
