Conversion Rules allow you to filter out specific products or product groups.
You can use the ‘ignore’ function to filter out products that fit certain parameters.
In the following example, I will ignore all products that don’t yet have a Category Level 1 set for them.
Go to Product List (Staging) in the CMS
Search for products that have Category Level 1 equal to ‘blank’
All products listed have no Category Level 1 applied to them. Click Apply Data.
Under the ‘Change’ dropdown, select ‘Ignore Items' and ‘Add To Data Conversion Rules’
The function of the rule will be shown on this screen. You can use this to ensure you’re performing the desired function.
Click Save Changes, all products without a Category Level 1 will be ignored.
NOTE: Products will NOT be unignored unless manually done so, or the ‘Dynamic Ignore Rule' is in use.
Dynamic Ignore Rule
The Dynamic Ignore Rule is available in your settings menu in CloudLINK.
This rule will unignore any product that is currently set to ignored if the product’s data is changed.
For example: if I were to give one of my previously ignored products a Category Level 1 in my account system, the product would be unignored upon the next item import.
